Friends of teens killed in Standing Stane crash to raise money in Loony Dook

Ethan and Connor are being remembered by friends taking on the Loony Dook today

Friends of two teenagers killed in a car accident on the Standing Stane road in November are taking part in today's Loony Dook in their memory.

Ethan King and Connor Aird were both 17 when they passed away following the crash in November.

Their deaths led to an outpouring of community support, with teachers and former classmates at Kirkcaldy High School leading a vigil for the pair.

A charity football match has also been played by close friends and team mates of the teenagers.

Now, friends of Ethan and Connor are hoping to raise money for Scotland's Air Ambulance service in a sponsored swim in the Forth this afternoon.

They will wear orange football strips in honour of the team the boys played for, Glenrothes Athletic.

Matthew Lafferty is one of the teens taking part, and he has been telling Kingdom FM News why they are taking on the challenge:
