Body of missing pensioner pulled from River Leven

The body of a 70-year-old man has been pulled from the River Leven.

Police confirmed the discovery was made in the early hours of Sunday morning (June 23).

On Saturday the 22nd, police were called to an address in the Leven area to a report of a missing 70-year-old.

Around the same time, a body was recovered from the water of the River Leven close to the Steelworks Brae in Methil. 

Police aren't treating the death as suspicious, and confirmed a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
