All Fife Council parking charges suspended

All Fife Council parking charges have been suspended from today (Thursday April 9) in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The local authority is also suspending time-limited waiting at all locations, allowing parking for any length of time across Fife.

Other restrictions such as yellow lines, loading bays and disabled parking places will remain enforceable.

Councillor Altany Craik, transportation spokesperson, said: "Thank you to Fife's key workers for the vital services they're providing during this pandemic.

"Removing parking charges and time limited parking is a small thing we can do to help our key workers and communities at this time.

"It also helps reduce pressure on residents, particularly in town centres, where demand for parking has increased during this period."

Meanwhile blue badges that expired at the start of this year will continue to be valid until the end of September in all council parking places.
