Flu Remedies - (I DO NOT HAVE MAN FLU)

September 18th, 2010

On Saturday Night I felt a little ill with the flu.  I must stress this was not the man flu as a lot of FEMALE callers and texters suggested.

Arron in Dunfermline suggested warm hunny and lemon juice.  The lemon juice to kill the germs and the hunny to coat my throat to stop me sounding like Darth Vader.

Bil in Auchtermuchty recommended 2 bottle of alcohol and 6 meters of rope.  Firstly drink the 2 bottles of alcohol, the tie myself into bed with the rope so I don’t fall out of bed.  It wont help cure my flue but it will make me feel better till I sober up.

Also Heather in Cupar suggested using alcohol as well so I might give it a go when I get home while I watch Casualty in bed.

Fingers crossed I am feeling better for Monday as I am on air all week for Barry Snedden, so I will see you next week at 7pm.

A rather tricky song to identify tonight.  We were looking for Donna Summer - This Time I Know It’s For Real.

Lots of wrong guesses including The Killers, Hazel Dean, Where do you go to my lovely?, Never Gonna Give You Up and Diana Ross.

3 listeners managing to identify that it was Donna Summer that we were looking for tonight.  They were George Stuart from Kirkcaldy, Kenny Mitchell from Dollar and Pauline Beveridge.

On Saturday’s Night Fever I received a call from Marcha Cupar who wanted to propose to her partner Ian McIntosh live on air.  To add to the surprise we recorded the call and let her go back beside her partner and we then played the proposal.

Thankfully all went well and Ian said YES

So a big CONGRATULATIONS to Marcha Cupar and Ian McIntosh who plan to get married next year.

I’ve got the date in my diary and will start looking for a hat.
