Still nothing to worry about!

Yesterday my eldest niece was at the doctors after being poorly for a few days. The diagnosis - tonsilitis and “..probable swine flu…”!



Obvioulsy at hearing that my first thought was ‘not great news, but I’m sure she’ll be okay’, then, of course, I started to exhibit some symptoms myself! Do I think I have swine flu? Of course not! Does the brain sometimes play tricks on you? Undoubtedly!



When Barry Snedden arrived at work for his all new evening show I was re-telling the “niece with probable swine flu” story and he raised a good point. What would happen if we, here at Kingdom FM, all came down with the disease?! I have the answer to that question; it’s obvious really. We, and by that I mean everyone on air, would simply have to move into Haig House and live here while we get better! It would be like a weird twist on the Big Brother format… and probably more successful!



Oh…and I’ll pass my best wishes onto my niece for you. She’s already starting to feel a little better!

a blast from the past !

I have had a great response to some of the new features on Kingdom Evenings… and one of my favourite so far is the Classic Album we do on Tuesday evenings.

This gives me a chance to rummage around in my old CD collection and dig out something that probably hasn’t been played in years.

Last night I played a couple of songs from this album…

However, there was a surprise in the CD case, that proves it hasn’t been opened in years, excepts from my FIRST show on Kingdom FM… from back in 2000 !

It was a blast from the past alright, you are safe though, I’ll not be playing any of it on air … I actually cringed!

Thank you for all the positive feedback regarding some of the new features on Kingdom Evenings … I’m enjoying them too !

Last week on the global chart we ended up looking at the top 10 in China … I wonder where we’ll end up this Monday ! Find out just after 21:30 !
